Tata launches Sathya Sai Baba's education project



HYDERABAD: Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata on Friday launched Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme of the Sathya Sai Baba Central Trust at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh.


He participated in the launch programme held at Prashanti Nilayam, the headquarters of Sathya Sai Baba's empire, in Anantapur district. He also prayed at the samadhi of the spiritual guru, who died two months ago.


The Tata Group is providing funds for Vidya Vahini, which is aimed at imparting quality education with the help of computers and advanced teaching equipment. The programme is being implemented in 99 schools in India and one school each in 33 countries.


All the institutes are run by the Sathya Sai Baba Trust.


Tata Consultancy Services
(TCS) has developed the software for Vidya Vahini, a pet project of the late guru. Ratan Tata visited Puttaparthi in November last year to personally hand over the software to Sathya Sai Baba on the occasion of his 85th birthday.




The Baba's personal caregiver Satyajit briefed Ratan Tata of the activities of various educational institutions run by the trust. The industrialist also held talks with members of the trust, who briefed him about the plans to carry on the service and charity works launched by Sathya sai Baba.


Sathya Sai Baba died on April 24 after prolonged illness.

Hyderabad: el presidente del Grupo Tata, Ratan Tata lanzó el viernes el programa Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini de Sathya Sai Baba Trust Central en Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

Participó en el programa de lanzamiento celebrado en Prashanti Nilayam, la sede del Trust  de Sathya Sai Baba, en el distrito de Anantapur. 
También oró en el samadhi de su gurú espiritual , que murió hace dos meses.

El Grupo Tata está aportando fondos para Vidya Vahini, cuyo objetivo es impartir una educación de calidad con la ayuda de ordenadores y equipos de enseñanza avanzada. 
El programa está siendo implementado en 99 escuelas en la India y una escuela de cada uno de 33 países.

Todos los institutos están dirigidos por el Sathya Sai Baba Trust.

El personalmente le informó a BABA de las actividades de varias instituciones educativas a cargo. 
El industrial también mantuvo conversaciones con miembros de confianza, quienes le informaron sobre los planes para llevar a cabo en servicio y obras de caridad iniciada por Sathya Sai Baba.

Sathya Sai Baba murió el 24 de abril después de una enfermedad prolongada.
